The National Examinations Council has released the results of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination for external candidates, with 71.63 per cent of candidates obtaining five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics. Announcing the results on Tuesday, the Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, Prof. Danlami Wushishi, said a total of 96,979 candidates registered for the examination across the country. Of this number, 95,160 candidates eventually sat for the examination, comprising 50,785 males and 44,375 females. The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested the Coordinator of Amasiri Development Centre in Afikpo Local Government Area, Anya Baron-Ogbonnia, alongside two traditional rulers, in connection with the recent deadly attack in Okporojo community, Edda Local Government Area of the state. The Nigeria Immigration Service has cautioned job seekers against fraudulent recruitment portals falsely claiming to be hiring on behalf of the agency.
