A 41-year-old notorious kidnapper and armed robber, Godstime Ajugba, has been arrested by Operatives of the CP Special Assignment Team, CP-SAT, in Delta State.
He was nabbed in the Mosogar community, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the report in a statement, said the suspect was reportedly arrested at about 1530hrs on November 18, 2024.
Edafa said the notorious kidnapper and his criminal gang specialized in kidnapping, armed robbery, car snatching, and defrauding unsuspecting victims via ATM swap around Ughelli, Warri, Sapele, Oghara, Abraka, and their environs.
He said the police affected the arrest of the notorious kidnapper who dwells in the Wellington Road area, Mosogar.
According to Edafe, “Upon interrogation, he led operatives to their criminal hideout situated by ‘Small Pastor Area,’ where they usually keep victims.
“Upon search in the ceiling, the following were recovered, two AK-47 rifles, one K2 rifle, two Automatic Pump Action guns, one locally made cut-to-size gun, five AK 47 rifle magazines, three K2 rifle magazines, One Hundred and One (101) k2 rifle live ammunition, two handcuffs and ten live cartridges.”
