The Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria has announced that applications for the 2026 Ireland Fellows Programme will open on June 29, offering qualified Nigerians the opportunity to pursue fully funded Master’s degrees at leading universities in Ireland.

The announcement was made on Friday through the embassy’s official X account, stating that the programme is designed for early and mid-career professionals from Nigeria and Ghana seeking to undertake a one-year postgraduate programme.

According to the embassy, the scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, monthly living stipends, travel costs, visa expenses, and health insurance.

To be eligible, applicants must be citizens and residents of Nigeria or Ghana, possess at least a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower, and have no fewer than three years of relevant work experience.

The programme also includes the Roger Casement Fellowship in Human Rights for Nigerian applicants, supporting Master’s studies in disciplines such as Law, Human Rights, and Governance.

Applications will open on June 29 and close on July 26, 2026. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online through the official Ireland Fellows Programme portal, where full details on eligibility requirements and the application process are available.
