Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu heeded the United States of America’s appeal to restrict its retaliatory strike on Iran to military assets and not the country’s nuclear or oil facilities, as its Saturday attacks targeted military bases. The United Kingdom has provided the Nigerian Army with highly technical, non-lethal military equipment worth £450,000 to support the fight against Boko Haram and other religious extremist groups in Northern Nigeria. Rivers State Governor Siminilayi Fubara has lost his bid to stay proceedings in a suit seeking to stop revenue allocation to the recently inaugurated local government councils executives in the state. A Delta State social activist, Mr. Zik Gbemre, has blamed the ruling Peoples Democratic, PDP, for the prevailing underdevelopment and mass relocation of oil and services companies from the state. Tension is rising in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun, following the death of a student, identified as Ariyo Monday, after receiving 164 strokes of a cane from a teacher. The Rivers State Government has announced plans to enhance waste management through Artificial Intelligence (AI) to unlock its economic potential for residents. Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara announced this initiative following the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for a $300 million Waste-to-Wealth project, a 200 MW power plant, smart e-mobility solutions, and carbon capture innovations.
