Armed bandits have killed two individuals, abducted 25 others, and stolen several cattle in coordinated attacks on two villages in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported the incidents in a post on Sunday, stating that the attacks occurred late Friday night around 10:30 p.m.
The assailants, armed with AK-47 rifles, first stormed Dogon Daji village in the Nahuche District, where they abducted 25 people—including men, women, and children—killed a local blacksmith, Muhammadu Kasu, and made away with a motorcycle and several cattle.
Shortly afterward, the attackers moved to nearby Danguro village, where they killed another resident, identified as Aminu Abubakar, and stole five motorcycles before escaping.
Troops under Operation FANSAR YANMA, alongside other security forces, responded to a distress call and confirmed the attacks.
Authorities say efforts are underway to rescue the kidnapped victims, recover the stolen livestock, and apprehend those responsible for the violence.
