Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended Dr. Mkor Aondona, the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Benue State on Documentation, Research, and Planning, over allegations of sextortion and cyberbullying.
The arrest took place in Makurdi on Friday, June 20, 2025, following multiple complaints from female students who accused the governor’s aide of sexually exploitative and criminal conduct, including cyber harassment and blackmail.
According to the petitioners, Aondona allegedly lured slim and attractive young women with offers of ushering jobs, demanding sexual favors in exchange for their selection. They further claimed that he secretly recorded their intimate encounters without consent and used the footage to threaten and coerce them into continued sexual relations.
Additionally, Aondona is accused of distributing these explicit videos—allegedly obtained without the victims’ knowledge—via various messaging platforms, with some of the content reportedly already in circulation.
The EFCC has confirmed that the suspect will be formally charged in court soon.
