There are concerns on Wednesday over the health of popular Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye (aka Bobrisky) after he was reported rushed to the hospital after collapsing in a Nigeria Immigration Service holding facility.

The NIS, which refused to speak on the matter, did not disclose what led to the collapse of the embattled public figure.

An official who cannot be named said he was running temperature and might have “suffered from exhaustion” due to his endless wait for either an arraignment or release.

Bobrisky, who was released from prison recently, courted fresh controversy following revelations that he was given preferential treatment, including being allowed to stay in a posh residential apartment, while in prison.

This prompted investigations by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which suspended two high-ranking officers over the matter, but a panel has confirmed that although he was given some privileges, he did his time inside prison.

But that was not the end of the troubled celebrity’s ordeal, as he was arrested at the Seme Border between Nigeria and Benin Republic on Monday, while allegedly trying to sneak out of the country.

The Nigerian Immigration Services, which arrested and detained Bobriski, said the action stemmed from being a ‘person of interest in an ongoing investigation’
