The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the list of top-performing candidates in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin from Ekiti State emerging as the highest scorer nationwide.

The list was unveiled on Monday during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja.

Owoeye scored 372 out of a maximum of 400 points in the examination. She selected the University of Lagos as her institution of choice, where she intends to study MBBS.

Enwere Kingsley Ikenna from Imo State followed closely with a score of 370. He chose Nile University and plans to study Computer Science.

Bamisile Ayomide Emmanuel from Ondo State recorded 369 and selected the Federal University of Technology Akure to study Software Engineering.

Olabiyisi Olanrewaju Oluwatimileyin from Oyo State scored 368 and chose Pan-Atlantic University, where he intends to study Mechatronics Engineering.

Also scoring 368, Victor-Onyeka Daniel Ifeanyi from Imo State selected the University of Port Harcourt to study Electrical/Electronics Engineering, while Osagiobare Daniel Osahenrumwen from Edo State chose the University of Benin for Mechanical Engineering.

Ademiluyi Adebowale Anthony from Osun State, who also scored 368, picked Obafemi Awolowo University to study Computer Engineering, while Azuike Kenechukwu Anthony from Anambra State selected Afe Babalola University for Software Engineering with the same score.

Offorkile Michael Okechukwu from Abia State scored 367 and chose Computer Science as his preferred course.

Adebisi Eniola Sonari from Ogun State also recorded 367 and selected Covenant University to study Computer Science.

Umukoro Gift Orhenevovwero from Delta State scored 367 and chose the University of Lagos to study Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

The release of the top scorers highlights the competitive performance of candidates in the 2026 UTME as the admission process into tertiary institutions begins.
