Speculations about the whereabouts of the suspended governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara were laid to rest on Sunday when he attended service at the Salvation Ministry Church in Port Harcourt.
The whereabouts of Fubara was a subjected of public debate in the state and beyond following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s hammer on the governor, his deputy, Prof Ngozi Odu, and the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Tinubu suspended the executive and legislative arms of the state following a protracted face-off between Fubara and Speaker, Martins Amaehule and 26 others.
However, the presence of Fubara at the SMC Headquarters in Port Harcourt GRA on Sunday dispelled rumours that he scampered abroad after Tuesday’s declaration of emergency rule in the state.
Decked in white senator attire, Fubara arrived at the church with a handful of friends, his eyes hidden behind photochromic glasses.
