A 48-year-old man, who was simply identified as Okafor was allegedly stabbed to death by a sex worker at his home in Jakande Housing Estate, Lekki, Lagos, on Monday. According to the police report, the incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. when Okafor was attacked by a woman identified as Joy Kelvin, whom he had brought home the previous night. The suspect allegedly stabbed Okafor during an altercation, leaving him critically injured. Tragedy struck at Moduganari community in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Sunday, October 6, as a pastor slumped and died while performing a naming ceremony. The deceased, Pastor Vincent Alaku of Church of The Brethren, EYN LCC, Moduganari, reportedly slumped while on the pulpit.
