The Rivers State governor, Siminialayi Fubara, has presented the state’s 2025 Appropriation Bill of 1.19tn to the Victor Oko-Jumbo-led House of Assembly. Presenting the appropriation bill, Fubara said out of the amount, N462bn was projected for Recurrent Expenditure while Capital Expenditure was to gulp N678bn. The Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Company (WRPC) has commenced operations. The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Mele Kyari, disclosed this during a tour of the 125,000 barrels per day facility on Monday. Addressing the team during the tour of the facility, Kyari said, “This plant is running. According to NAFDAC Director-General Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the operations spanned Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), seizing substandard and falsified medicines, counterfeit foods, and beverages in three months, covering October to December 2024.
