A yet to be identified middle aged woman has reportedly died in a public toilet at the Mile three motor park on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 after she paid to use the toilet.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman, paid to use the toilet but failed to come out after several minutes.
The officials in charge of the toilet became anxious and knocked on the door, but there was no response. They subsequently forced the door open and found the woman dead.
The Chairman of the Mile 3 Park toilet, Chigozie Amadi, confirmed the incident.
“Yes, the incident is true. We do not know the woman. We are still looking for a way to contact the deceased woman’s family. We have reported to the Nkpolu Police Division, and the police are here now,” he said.
As of 5:59 pm on Tuesday, police officers and officials from RIWAMA were making efforts to evacuate the corpse to the mortuary.
The Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident to our reporter.
She said: “yes, I can confirm the incident, it’s so pathetic. The woman went in there to bath, then she slumped and died.
” There is no means of identifying her family because no phone was found on her but investigations are on already.” She added.
