Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, met with stakeholders from Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities on Saturday to address their long-standing land dispute.

The meeting, which was held at the Governor’s Osubi residence, was attended by members of the peace committee involved in the crisis resolution.

A statement by the state government media forum revealed that during the meeting both communities agreed to live in peace and uphold the settlement terms they had mutually accepted.

Governor Oborevwori praised the elders and youths of both communities for their commitment to peace and assured them of a forthcoming statement on the agreed settlement terms.

Representatives from both communities expressed their gratitude to the Governor for his intervention in resolving the dispute.

Governor Oborevwori had previously secured approval from the State Executive Council for the construction of the Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh road to enhance mobility between the two communities.
