The Rivers State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of a man who died under mysterious circumstances following a fight at a brothel on Azikiwe Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday night, November 9, 2025, reportedly began when the deceased visited the brothel to patronize one of the commercial sex workers. An argument broke out between him and the suspect, escalating into a physical confrontation.
Sources said the client later collapsed in the sanitary lane of the brothel and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
The Rivers State Police Command has since arrested the suspect for questioning, though the identities of both individuals have not been released. The cause of death remains unclear as investigations continue.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command said the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Port Harcourt, for further investigation.
The police have assured the public that a thorough probe will be conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
