Gunmen kill Man 24hrs to His wedding in Anambra
A to-be-groom identified as Bright Ezechukwu was killed by suspected gunmen less than 24 hours before his wedding in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Ezechukwu had reportedly gone to pick up his bride-to-be, Chinwendu, in Ihiala town and was returning to the Uli community in the company of his friends when tragedy struck.
Ezechukwu was reportedly carrying one of the bridesmaids while his best friend was carrying his bride when he stopped to fuel his motorcycle at Ezego junction.
His friends and fiancee thought he was coming behind until they discovered that he was not following them and tried calling his phone, but it was unavailable.
We learned that his friends reversed in search of him out of curiosity and found him in the pool of his blood at the Ezego junction. He was reportedly shot twice in the head.
An eyewitness confirmed that the unknown gunmen barricaded the victim and dispossessed him of all he had before shooting him to death.
“They took his phone, motorcycle, including the flask that contained the food they were to eat that night and still killed him”, the source added.
