Senator Samuel Anyanwu reaffirmed on Monday that he remains the substantive National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This comes after the Appeal Court in Enugu State, last week, dismissed Anyanwu’s position, instead upholding former National Youth Leader Sunday Okoye as the National Secretary.
Arriving at the PDP National Headquarters in Abuja at about 10:50 am, Anyanwu asserted that a stay of execution order necessitates maintaining the status quo, affirming his position as National Secretary until the court issues a final verdict.
He stated, “As you can see, I’m in the office. The ruling of the Appeal Court judgment has been appealed at the Supreme Court, and there is a stay of execution.
“So, the position remains the way it is until determined by the Supreme Court,” he added.
