Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has penned an emotional letter to his wife, Mrs Chioma Hope Uzodinma, on the occasion of their 10th wedding anniversary.
The governor, in a message that would make teenage lovebirds green with envy on his verified ‘X’ (former Twitter) account on Friday, described his wife as the gentle light that illuminates his path.
He said, “Ten years ago, you walked into my life as a gentle light, and since then, you’ve illuminated every path we’ve walked together. How do I find words for a soul as beautiful as yours?
“You are the bloom of spring in my heart, a rose without a thorn, ever fragrant and fair. Your love has been my solace and strength, a melody that calms even the stormiest days.
Flowing poetically, the Imo Governor serenaded his wife as his haven of peace and hope and noted that through the whirlwind days of his long hours and endless tasks, she stood by him as an unwavering anchor.
“For our children, you’ve been the embodiment of love and grace, nurturing them with a heart so full it overflows. For me, you’ve been an inspiration—the gentle push I need to dream bigger, to aim higher.
“My heart is thine, as steadfast as the stars above, because I love you to the moon and back, and I vow that our love shall grow ever brighter with each passing day.
“Together, we’ve built a life so rich in joy, and I thank God for the beauty of us. For the laughter, the tears, the victories, and the lessons, He has been our guide. May He continue to dwell in our home, weaving His love into every corner of our lives,” he said in the breathtaking note.”
The love-struck governor signed off thus: “To you, my beloved, and to a love that defies the bounds of time, I love you always.”
