A Nigerian lady who asked her Igbo kinsmen and women to poison fellow Nigerians has been identified and could face prosecution for inciting tribal cleansing.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson, of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, identified the voice behind the hate post as Canada-based Amaka Patience Sunnberger.
In the now-deleted viral Tiktok post, Ms Sunnberger was heard urging members of her Igbo tribes to poison the foods and waters of Nigerians of Edo and Yoruba origins.
The video was later posted on the X platform, causing outrage and condemnation from other Nigerians and netizens.
She was seen telling a gathering, “Record me very well; it’s time to start poisoning the Yoruba and the Benin. Put poison for all una food for work. Put poison for una water, make una dey kpai (die) one by one,”
Mrs Dabiri later identified the woman as Amaka Patience Sunnberger.
Ms Sunnberger promised to start the mass murder of fellow Nigerians in Canada by taking poisonous substances to her workplace and poisoning any Yoruba or Benin person she came across.
The video, which has gone viral on many social media platforms, showed the lady speaking/addressing an unseen group in a live session on Tiktok
“I want make Ndi Igbo get that heart of wickedness. Una too dey quiet,” the woman said, addressing other participants. “Enough is enough! If you have any means of kpaing them, kpai them comot for road.”
The woman said she was a resident of Ontario, Canada, and dared anyone to report her to the Canadian authorities.
Ms Sunnberger was identified by Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa in an X post on Tuesday, raising speculation that the Federal Government of Nigeria would take further action on the matter.
“This is the picture of the lady behind the voice. Amaka Patience Sunnberger,” she said.
“She has deleted her TikTok account, and a group of Nigerians in Canada are reporting her officially to the relevant authorities in Canada.”
