According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, who disclosed the development in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, the victims — Sadiya Nakwada, Aisha Nakwada, and Abubakar Dan Fulani — were freed during a coordinated operation involving tactical teams from the Zamfara State Police Command and the Special Tactical Squad of the Force Intelligence Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Makama also reported that five suspects — Hamza Umar, Abubakar Abdullahi, Aisha Umar, Mohammed Ibrahim, and Igeh Mohammed — all residents of the Mareri area in Damba District, Gusau, have been arrested in connection with the abduction.
The rescued victims have been taken to a hospital in Gusau for medical evaluation and are expected to reunite with their families shortly.
