A 30-year-old aspirant from Kaduna State, Mohammed Sadis Buba, has drawn widespread attention on social media following his appearance at the All Progressives Congress screening for the Sabon Gari/Zaria Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
Buba became an online sensation after a video of his appearance before members of the party’s screening committee surfaced on social media on Sunday, showing him dressed in traditional attire as he presented himself for the exercise.
Speaking during the screening, Mohammed Sadis Buba said his decision to contest was inspired by a call to serve his people rather than personal ambition.
According to him, the move is centered on the interests of his constituents, whom he said had encouraged him to seek public office.
Buba also disclosed that Uba Sani is aware of his ambition to contest for the seat.
He further revealed that he is one of two aspirants vying for the APC ticket for the constituency, noting that his opponent is a serving member of the House of Representatives.
The young aspirant’s appearance and remarks have since generated conversations online, with many reacting to his confidence and determination as the party’s screening process continues ahead of the 2027 general elections.
