Popular television host and media personality, Frank Edoho, has responded to allegations of infidelity and financial irresponsibility levelled against him by his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, amid the growing online controversy surrounding their failed marriage.
Reacting to Sandra’s public accusations of cheating, emotional abuse, and neglect of parental responsibilities, Edoho claimed that her alleged relationship with singer Chike was one of the major factors that led to the collapse of their union.
According to the veteran broadcaster, he initially made efforts to save the marriage for the sake of their children despite allegedly discovering evidence of an affair between his wife and the singer.
Edoho said he confronted Chike after learning of the alleged relationship, revealing that he pleaded with the singer to stay away from his wife in an attempt to preserve his family.
He further alleged that despite his efforts, Sandra continued the relationship and actively encouraged it, a development he said left him devastated.
The media personality also claimed he invested heavily in Sandra’s personal and professional growth, including sponsoring her education and supporting the establishment of her interior design business before problems began in the marriage.
Edoho disclosed that there was a period he left the marriage for about three months before Sandra allegedly persuaded him to return.
Speaking on the divorce proceedings, he claimed Sandra later initiated legal action after discovering he had emotionally moved on.
He also alleged that she demanded N4 million monthly for the upkeep of their children, a request he said he rejected, adding that he intends to release evidence to back his claims, including secretly recorded conversations.
Meanwhile, Edoho maintained that he and Sandra had already been separated for nearly two years before the current online uproar.
In an earlier reaction, the broadcaster declined further interviews on the controversy, insisting there was nothing to gain from publicly discussing his private life.
The controversy intensified after Sandra took to her Instagram page on Thursday to share her side of the story in a lengthy post, accusing Edoho of infidelity, emotional abuse, neglect, and financial irresponsibility throughout their marriage.
She also alleged that Edoho had multiple affairs during their union and accused him of abandoning his responsibilities as a father.
Sandra further claimed she single-handedly financed their lifestyle, paid bills, and covered family expenses while enduring emotional and psychological distress.
As the controversy gained traction online, some women named in Sandra’s allegations publicly denied having any romantic relationship with Edoho.
Amaka Okeke dismissed the claims as false and malicious, insisting her relationship with Edoho was strictly business and a later friendship.
Reality TV personality Tega Dominic also appeared to dismiss the allegations with a brief social media reaction.
Sandra Onyenucheya is known for her luxury interior brand, Vivabella Designs, while Edoho remains one of Nigeria’s most recognisable television personalities, widely known for hosting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
This is Edoho’s second failed marriage, having previously been married to Katherine Obiang before their separation years ago.
