Sources from the area said Maro has suffered constant attacks by bandits in recent times.
Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Munir Hassan was not available for comment on the Sunday attack, but many sources in the area who confirmed the attack said people were fleeing the area in large number.
NDN learnt that attacks on citizens of communities in Kajuru have increased in the last year, despite various measures, including building security posts, by the residents.
