Former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, is alive and in good health, contrary to viral reports circulating on social media claiming that he had died.
The false reports sparked concern among supporters, political associates, and members of the public, prompting a swift response from his daughter, Orode Uduaghan, who moved to set the record straight.
In a post shared on her Facebook page on Tuesday, June 24, 2026, Orode categorically debunked the rumour, stating: “My Father is still Alive.”
Her clarification came amid widespread online speculation alleging the death of the former Delta State governor. The brief but direct statement helped quell the misinformation and reassure those who had expressed concern over the reports.
Dr. Uduaghan, a medical doctor and politician, served as Governor of Delta State from 2007 to 2015. During his tenure, he oversaw several infrastructure and development projects across the state and remains a prominent figure in Delta politics.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement indicating any health emergency or incident involving the former governor. Family members and close associates have continued to dismiss the reports as false and misleading.
The incident highlights the growing challenge of misinformation on social media, where unverified claims can spread rapidly and cause unnecessary anxiety among the public.
