Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that the 2027 presidential election will mark his final bid for Nigeria’s highest office.

Atiku announced an appearance on Prime Time on Arise Television on Wednesday, stating unequivocally, “The 2027 election will be my last outing.”

The veteran politician, who has been contesting presidential elections since 1992, addressed concerns about his age and repeated attempts at the presidency. He argued that Nigeria’s core challenge remains poor leadership, positioning himself as both a bridge between the country’s past and its future.

Atiku also emphasized the need for structured leadership training for young Nigerians, noting that such development is critical to the nation’s progress.
