President Bola Tinubu has restated his administration’s resolve to defeat banditry and terrorism threatening several parts of the country, assuring Nigerians that his government remains determined to restore peace and security nationwide.

The President gave the assurance on Monday in Yola during the commissioning of projects executed by Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri.

Commending the efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Tinubu pledged continued support for security personnel in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.

“We are grateful to the Nigerian armed forces for their commitment to liberating Nigeria from banditry and insurgency. Together, we will win,” the President said.

He also called on state governors and citizens to work collaboratively toward national development, urging Nigerians to give maximum cooperation to their leaders at all levels.

“As your leader, I am assuring you of my continuous service and sacrifice. Nigeria is ours to develop. I am a very happy man,” he added.

The Commander-in-Chief praised Governor Fintiri for the developmental projects undertaken by his administration, describing them as impactful and beneficial to the people of Adamawa State.

Tinubu further lauded the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for his contributions to strengthening the country’s security architecture. Ribadu, a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police and former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, hails from Adamawa State.

Describing Ribadu as honest, bold, and courageous, the President expressed confidence in his ability to help rid the country of criminal elements.

“I must say clearly here that you are doing an excellent job and we are seeing the results. With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists. You are a good National Security Adviser — honest, bold, courageous, and committed to the job. I believe the state of Adamawa is strongly proud of you, and of course, I am too,” Tinubu said.
