World-renowned British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua, was reportedly involved in a serious road accident on Monday along the Makun axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, resulting in the deaths of two people.

Eyewitnesses said Joshua’s Lexus SUV, with registration number KRD 850 HN, collided with a stationary truck parked by the roadside near Danco Filling Station. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be fully established, and investigations are said to be ongoing.

Joshua reportedly sustained minor injuries and survived the incident, while two occupants of another vehicle were confirmed dead at the scene. Passersby said the bodies of the victims were recovered from the wreckage shortly after the crash.

Emergency responders were present at the scene, managing traffic and assisting with rescue operations, as authorities commenced investigations into the incident.

As of the time of filing this report, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command, has not issued an official statement, and there has been no formal confirmation from Joshua’s camp.

The accident has drawn widespread attention on social media, with fans expressing relief over Joshua’s survival while extending condolences to the families of the deceased.
