Opeyemi “Imisi” Ayanwale has been crowned the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, claiming the N150 million grand prize and the title of Nigeria’s newest reality TV superstar.

Her victory came after ten weeks of fierce competition filled with strategy, alliances, emotional highs and lows, and captivating entertainment.

The grand finale on Sunday night was charged with anticipation as nine housemates vied for the top spot, leaving Dede as the runner-up. The results, verified by Deloitte and confirmed by M-Net, were announced by the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

When Ebuka declared Imisi the winner, the studio erupted in cheers. Confetti filled the air as housemates celebrated and social media platforms went into a frenzy. Dressed in a white lace outfit with a wine aso oke, the 23-year-old actor and fashion designer tearfully expressed her gratitude.

Before the final announcement, Ebuka kept the audience on edge with a series of surprising evictions. Kayode, popularly known as Kaybobo, and Isabella George were the first to leave, sparking loud gasps from the audience. Both had built strong fan bases — Kaybobo for his comic energy and Isabella for her bold personality and strategic play.

Next to exit were Jason Jae and Mensan, two strong contenders whose departures shocked viewers. Jason was admired for his calm intelligence, while Mensan’s creativity and charisma made him a fan favourite. The emotional intensity grew as Kola, Sultana, and Koyin were evicted in quick succession, leaving many in tears.

Throughout the season, Imisi, fondly called “the calm storm,” earned admiration for her emotional intelligence, quiet leadership, and authenticity. She avoided unnecessary drama, handled conflicts with maturity, and remained grounded, qualities that resonated deeply with fans.

Her defining moment came in Week 6 when she won the Head of House challenge, leading her team to consecutive victories and cementing her reputation as a serious contender. Multiple task wins showcased her creativity and resilience, while her genuine emotional connection with a fellow housemate added warmth to her story.

Season 10, themed “Next Level,” delivered on its promise with unexpected twists, strong personalities, and one of the most competitive finales in recent memory. Each housemate brought a distinct strategy — from Kola’s quiet observation to Sultana’s charisma, Koyin’s humour, and Mensan’s confidence — making it a richly diverse season that captivated audiences across Africa.

With her victory, Imisi joins the ranks of past Big Brother Naija champions such as Whitemoney, Phyna, Mercy, and Ilebaye — each celebrated for their authenticity and resilience. For Imisi, however, this marks only the beginning of a new chapter as one of Africa’s brightest rising stars.
