Manchester City have signed a landmark extension to their kit deal with Puma, worth a reported £1 billion ($1.34 billion) over the next decade — the most lucrative kit partnership in Premier League history.

The new agreement will see City earn approximately £100 million per year until 2035, surpassing their previous £65 million-per-year deal signed with the German sportswear giant in 2019. It also eclipses the £90 million annual deal Manchester United secured with Adidas in 2023.

City now join the elite ranks of Real Madrid and Barcelona, both of whom are believed to have kit deals exceeding £100 million per year.

“ We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond expectations. We’ve achieved this and more over the last six seasons,” said Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group. “Puma have become a key part of our organisation, helping deliver unforgettable moments and connecting with fans worldwide.”

Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld echoed the sentiment: “Our partnership with Manchester City has been a tremendous success both on and off the pitch — from trophies to global commercial growth.”

The record-breaking deal comes at the end of a disappointing campaign for Pep Guardiola’s side, who finished third in the Premier League and ended the season without a major trophy for the first time since 2016–17. City also suffered a shock FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace and an early exit in the Club World Cup against Saudi side Al-Hilal.
