Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, of deliberately exposing their children to public attention during an ongoing custody battle.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, one of Daniels’ sons could be heard saying, “Mummy, come back.” The actress accompanied the clip with a lengthy caption in which she addressed her separation from the children and alleged that their father’s actions were calculated to attract media scrutiny.

Daniels said that despite public assumptions, no mother can be truly at peace while separated from her children. She explained that she had chosen not to let the pain “define or imprison” her, noting that this was why she delayed speaking publicly about the matter.

She accused Nwoko, a serving senator, of repeatedly posting the children online during what she described as a sensitive period, calling it a “deliberate pursuit of negative attention.” Daniels argued that it was unlikely that a public figure with legislative experience would be unaware that such posts would draw intense media coverage.

“These actions make it reasonable to question whether his behaviour is motivated by public engagement rather than parental responsibility,” she wrote.

According to the actress, she initially remained silent to avoid adding to unnecessary media noise but felt compelled to speak out following what she described as continued provocation. She further alleged that the video marked the last time she had been allowed to communicate with her children.

Daniels also claimed that Nwoko dismissed all her nannies and pressured them into making false allegations of violence and alcohol abuse against her—claims she strongly denied—adding that the accusations were allegedly made in the presence of the children.

She revealed that Nwoko has filed for full custody despite already having the children in his care, questioning the intensity of the legal challenge against her. “I may be young, but I am such a mum. I enjoy being a mum and I miss being a mum,” she said.

Despite the ongoing legal dispute, Daniels expressed hope that she would be reunited with her children, insisting she would not give up. “I will definitely see my kids soon,” she wrote.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Nwoko nor his representatives had publicly responded to the allegations.
