In a notable public appearance symbolizing renewed political calm, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, was seen sitting alongside Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and State Assembly Speaker, Martins Amaewhule, just days after their reconciliation was facilitated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The three prominent figures came together on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the funeral service of Elder Temple Omezuruike Onuoha, Wike’s uncle and Head of the Oro-Ekpoduta Clan. The service was held at the Greater Evangelism World Crusade in Rumuepirikom, Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Their joint presence at the solemn occasion is being viewed by many as a public affirmation of the truce brokered at the national level, easing months of political tension within the state.
