The Agbarha community in Delta State has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of two individuals who participated in a drinking competition in the community.
The competition, which reportedly offered a prize of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000), also had two other participants hospitalized.
The contest reportedly involved consuming full bottles of a substance believed to be alcohol.
Witnesses claim the participants collapsed and died instantly after attempting to finish the bottles in one go.
The police have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident at the time of filing this report.
