United States President Donald Trump has warned that American forces may escalate attacks on Iran, saying key infrastructure targets such as bridges and power plants are under consideration.
In a post on his Truth Social platform late Thursday, Trump said the US military had not yet begun fully “destroying what’s left in Iran,” despite ongoing hostilities between both countries.
“The US military hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran. Bridges next, then electric power plants!” he wrote, hours after claiming that Iran’s tallest bridge had already been destroyed.
The US president has consistently maintained that most of Iran’s major military targets have been significantly damaged or eliminated during the past month of conflict.
Trump also suggested that Iran’s leadership was aware of the urgency to act, reiterating his call for Tehran to reach an agreement with Washington aimed at securing a ceasefire.
“Iran’s new regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, fast!” he added.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between the two nations, with fears of further escalation as the conflict continues.
