The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari have returned to Nigeria from London ahead of his burial in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, scheduled for later today.
Buhari’s body arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport in Katsina, accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
President Bola Tinubu, along with Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda, senior government officials, and members of the late president’s family, was present at the airport to receive the casket.
Former President Buhari passed away in London on Sunday, July 13, 2025, following a brief illness. He was 82.
