Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned himself in at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development on Wednesday.
“Portable just turned himself in at the SCID Yaba. We have contacted Ogun State Police Command to come pick him up,” he said.
This came after Portable, in a video posted on Tuesday, described himself as a “madman” undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta.
He made the statement while pleading with Nigerians and the Ogun State Government following the police declaration that he was wanted.
Despite his plea, Omolola Odutola, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, insisted that Portable surrender himself for investigation.
