Controversial Nigerian singer, Badmus Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has shaved off his signature coloured hair.

The singer showcased his new look in a video posted on his Instagram reels and also issued a heartfelt apology to veteran Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa.

He shared a photo of Osupa on his page, captioning it, “God bless you, sir. I’m sorry Baami.”

This comes shortly after Portable regained his freedom from police custody in Ilorin, Kwara State, following Osupa’s decision to withdraw a legal petition against him.

Earlier, Osupa had filed a complaint accusing Portable of criminal defamation, intimidation, inciting public disturbance, and cyberstalking. The case stemmed from a live Instagram video on March 19, in which Portable allegedly made derogatory statements about the Fuji icon, accusing him of envy and trying to derail his career.

In response to the petition, the Kwara State Police Command arraigned Portable at the Upper Area Court in Ilorin on multiple charges under the Penal Code, Cybercrimes Act of 2015, and the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law, 2020.

Presiding Magistrate Sunday Adeniyi granted the singer bail set at N1 million with two sureties—one of whom must be a PMAN chairman, and the other a property owner in the Government Reserve Area. However, Portable was unable to meet the bail conditions immediately and was remanded at the Oke Kura Correctional Facility.

He was released on Tuesday after Osupa, through his lawyer Opalekunde Ahmed, officially withdrew the case.
