The Nigeria Police Force has extended the deadline for enforcing the Tinted Glass Permit requirement to August 12, 2025. This extension follows public concerns regarding the reactivation of the digital application process.
The announcement was made on Saturday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
According to the police, the decision was based on public feedback and is intended to allow for a comprehensive review of the permit system, to make it more accessible and user-friendly.
“The extension of enforcement is intended to give room for additional enhancements and refinements to the application process, ensuring that no member of the public is unduly disadvantaged,” the statement said.
The Force also noted that steps are being taken to streamline both the physical and digital application processes, with enhancements to verification procedures and efforts to minimize processing delays.
Citizens are encouraged to use the official portal, www.possap.gov.ng, for all applications and renewals, and to report any instances of extortion or unauthorized fees to the police via the hotline: 09169967000.
