A mother in Warri, Delta State has reportedly beaten her 15-year-old son to death for allegedly stealing N200.
The incident occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Obire Street, off Cemetery Road, Warri.
Reports revealed that the boy’s hands and legs were tied by his brother, and his body was seared with a hot knife.
”When she realized that her son was dying, she ran out and cried for assistance.
“Unfortunately, before they arrived at the hospital, her son died,” a source added.
The source further revealed that the woman had previously been evicted from a nearby compound due to her hostile relationships with neighbors.
It was also disclosed that her late son, before his death, sold smoked fish for her and later attended an apprenticeship in phone repairs.
When contacted, SP Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Delta Command, stated that no such incident had been reported to the police.
