A 48-year-old man, who was simply identified as Okafor was allegedly stabbed to death by a sex worker at his home in Jakande Housing Estate, Lekki, Lagos, on Monday.
According to the police report, the incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. when Okafor was attacked by a woman identified as Joy Kelvin, whom he had brought home the previous night.
The suspect allegedly stabbed Okafor during an altercation, leaving him critically injured.
A friend of the deceased, alerted by another mutual acquaintance, rushed to the scene and transported Okafor to the General Hospital in Marina, where pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Officers from the Ilasan Police Division received the report at 7:20 a.m. and promptly visited the scene to conduct a preliminary investigation.
The detectives then transported the body to the General Hospital morgue in Yaba for an autopsy.
