Operatives of The Nigerian Security Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have arrested an 85-year-old man, Ibrahim Haruna, for the alleged rape of a four-year-old girl.
The incident occurred in the Kongo community of Keffi local government council of the state.The Corps Public Relations Officer Jerry Victor made this known at a press briefing in Lafia the state capital.
The PRO narrated that the elder sister of the victim raised the alarm when she discovered the little girl was walking with discomfort and blood dripping from her legs.
According to Mr Jerry, the sister sought to know what was wrong with the little girl who then explained her ordeal at the hands of the elderly suspect.
He further alleged that the suspect lured the little girl into his room when there was nobody around which allowed him to perpetrate the act.
Mr Jerry Victor, who presented a Medical Report before journalists, said a medical Test was conducted, and it was confirmed that the little girl had been defiled.
The command’s spokesman announced that the case would be handed over to the state ministry of justice after an investigation for speedy trial.
In a chat with newsmen, Haruna denied the allegation, insisting that it was a frame-up.
Findings revealed that the parents of the four-year-old victim and the suspected elderly man were neighbors.
