A domestic dispute in Bauchi State ended in tragedy after a 25-year-old man, Adamu Abdullahi, allegedly killed his father, Abdullahi Musa, during a heated confrontation in Rumbuna village, Giade Local Government Area.
The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, and was made public on Tuesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama via a post on his verified X handle.
According to Makama, the altercation escalated when Adamu struck his 60-year-old father on the head with a hoe. The impact caused the victim to collapse immediately, sustaining severe head injuries.
“Police officers from the Giade Division quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the injured man to the General Hospital in Giade. Unfortunately, he was confirmed dead while receiving treatment,” Makama stated.
The Bauchi State Police Command has since taken the suspect into custody, and an investigation is underway at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
