Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Nosa Afolabi, better known as Lasisi Elenu, and his wife, Nonso Adika Afolabi, have welcomed a baby boy.
The comedian shared the joyful news on Instagram, quoting John 7:38 (NLT): “Whoever believes in me, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
Introducing their son, Lasisi wrote: “Meet our son RIVER ELROI, ADÉDÁMINI, ADEWUNMI, NOSAGIE, ANYALEWECHI AFOLABI… Our RIVER of flowing waters is here — our joy, our testimony, our gift from God. RIVER – a symbol of life, abundance, renewal, and God’s unending grace flowing through us.”
The post drew heartfelt reactions from fans and celebrities alike. Actress and media personality Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as KieKie, commented: “For a River never runs dry. You’re blessed.”
Fans also joined in celebrating the couple. One user, @julyanah_, wrote, “I love his name. God bless and keep you, River Elroi,” while another, @_imuwahen, joked, “Welcome River, the brother of Rain.”
Lasisi and Nonso tied the knot in 2022 and welcomed their first child, a daughter, later that year. With the arrival of baby River, the couple’s home has grown even more joyful.
Known for his signature wide-mouth comedy sketches, Lasisi used the birth announcement to express gratitude and faith, describing his son as a divine gift and symbol of renewal.
Congratulations have continued to pour in for the Afolabis as they celebrate the arrival of their newborn, River Elroi.
