What was to be a celebration of love turned into mourning in Umusam, Kwale in Ndokwa Local Government Area of Delta State last weekend when the groom, Justice Onyekachukwu Elimani, and a friend were gruesomely murdered just hours before his wedding.
The victims were killed at Utagba-Uno in Ukwani LGA, while they were making final preparations for the event, slated for the next day in Umusam, the hometown of his unfortunate bride, Aniasaba Blessing Abanum
In his final post before his death, Justice, said, “Love is not just a feeling; it is a decision to stay, to give and to grow together even on days when it’s hard. Its strength found in each other’s arms and warmth in each other’s laughter and peace in each others laughter.
“Please family and friends join us on November 23 at Umusam, Kwale Delta State,” he concluded.

Another victim of the deadly shooting incident is said to be in critical health condition at an undisclosed hospital in the state.
Various sources told Naija Daily News that Justice and his friend whose alias is Double C, are believed to belong to a rival cult group operating in the area
Shortly before his sad end, the victim had reportedly called and told the unfortunate bride that he was on his way to get some items to be used for the wedding when he met his tragic end in the arms of suspected cultists.
Our investigation revealed that Kwale and other parts of Delta State have been under the heavy arms of cult groups and cyber criminals (Yahoo Boys) who have been terrorising and killing recklessly over the last couple of years.
The Delta State Police Command has yet to respond to our reporter’s request for information on the incident at the time of this report.
However, various reports confirmed that the suspect was a prime target of the people he had real and perceived grievances with.
Reacting to the post, one Thomas Agbamu said, “I am not in support of cultism but sometimes when you know you’re a moving target or e get as your dealings be or there are people you’ve offended; you nor suppose post wedding invitation on social media or announce your marriage in public before the marriage date.”
