Three persons, including a cemetery worker, were on Sunday arrested by local security operatives in Agege, Lagos State, for alleged possession of five human skulls.

The cemetery worker, who was identified as Ismaila, who arrested along with two accomplices around the Murikaz area of the Agege, where the cemetery is located.

An eyewitness, Isiaka Amosu, said Ismaila had been under suspicion of collaborating with the other suspects to illegally harvest body parts and organs from corpses buried in the cemetery.

He said on Sunday morning, the local security operatives became suspicious when they noticed an individual acting oddly near a fence at the back of the cemetery, where a bag was dumped.

Curious about a bag and the movement of the suspects, they decided to keep watch to see who would come to retrieve it.

Amosu further disclosed that two men later sneaked in to pick up the bags, and they were confronted and asked to show the contents of the bags.

During questioning, they admitted to receiving assistance from the cemetery worker, whom they were paying for human parts, suspected to be used for rituals.

According to our eyewitness, this same suspect had been caught about six months prior with a human head.

Sources at the cemetery said further investigations are currently underway to unravel the motive and other accomplices involved.
