The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended seven individuals suspected of internet fraud in Abuja.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the arrests.
He disclosed that the suspects were picked up in the Lifecamp and Kubwa areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to Oyewale, the operation followed credible intelligence connecting the suspects to various online fraudulent activities.
”Items recovered from them include eight high-end automobiles, expensive laptop computers, and mobile phones.
”They will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded,” he said.
