Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has gifted his wife, Chioma Rowland-Adeleke, a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
The luxury SUV, which recently entered the market, is priced at over $150,000 (approximately ₦240 million), depending on its specifications. The 2025 model comes with advanced design upgrades and electric options, making it a significant upgrade from previous editions.
In a video shared on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, Davido was seen finalising the purchase, revealing that he traded in his earlier model to secure the latest release.
“First of all, we had to take the one I got, then obviously add more money to get the new one,” he explained, before adding with pride: “Only the best for my lady.”
When the vehicle was eventually presented, Chioma appeared visibly elated as Davido cheered, declaring, “We do 2025!”
The extravagant gift comes just weeks after the couple’s much-publicised wedding in Miami on August 10, 2025. The glamorous ceremony, which marked the grand finale of their three-part nuptials, followed a court marriage in March 2023 and a traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.
The Miami celebration, estimated at $3.7 million, was attended by business moguls, political figures, and top entertainers from within and outside Nigeria, further cementing the couple’s place as one of Africa’s most influential celebrity power pairs.
