Apple Music has identified the Made-in-Lagos album by Nigerian Afrobeat artiste, Wizkid as the most streamed Nigerian album on the platform.

The announcement came amid the ongoing beef between Wizkid (real name Ayo Balogun) and fellow Afrobeat star, Davido.

The 2020-released album contained the hit track Essence that featured another Nigerian artiste, Tems,

Announcing the feat, Apple Music said “Oshe Naija,” which translates to “thanks Nigeria.”

Burna Boy, who has four albums followed in 2nd place with his “Love, Damini”.

Other albums making the top rankings include Tems’ album in 4th position, Davido’s “Timeless,” Asake’s “Work of Art,” and Omah Lay’s “Boy Alone.”

To celebrate this milestone, Apple Music will launch the Oshe Naija collection, featuring eight exclusively curated playlists by Afro-fusion artist Omah Lay from Port Harcourt and Hip-Hop sensation ODUMODUBLVCK from Abuja.

Others are maverick rapper Shallipopi (Benin City), Afro-R&B doyenne Qing Madi (Benin City), genre-bending singer-songwriter Seyi Vibez (Lagos), legendary Afro-pop singer-songwriter 2Baba (Jos), sure-fire rapper Jeriq (Enugu) and trailblazing up-coming singer Bloody Civilian (Abuja).
