The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has criticized Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for sending a letter to the state House of Assembly.
The letter, which requested a meeting with lawmakers regarding the Supreme Court’s ruling on the state’s political matters, was dismissed by Wike as “useless.”
In an interaction with journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike voiced his disapproval of Fubara’s approach.
He stressed that Speaker Martins Amaewhule and the lawmakers are not under Fubara’s authority and deserve to be treated with respect.
Wike contended that instead of sending a public letter, Fubara should have personally contacted Amaewhule and his team by phone to arrange a meeting.
