Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has threatened legal action against individuals spreading what he described as false and damaging rumours linking him to the alleged marital crisis between actress BamBam and her husband, Teddy A.
Arukwe addressed the controversy in a statement shared on social media, revealing that a particular account had been identified for allegedly circulating baseless accusations concerning his professional relationship with a female colleague in the industry. Although he did not mention BamBam by name, the rumours surfaced shortly after the release of their 2025 YouTube film, Love In Every Word, which recently went viral.
The actor said he deliberately chose not to publicise the handle of the account involved in order to avoid giving further visibility to the claims. However, he warned that those responsible would face consequences.
“A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry,” Arukwe wrote. He added that individuals behind the allegations would be held accountable for any reputational damage caused.
The controversy comes amid renewed public scrutiny surrounding BamBam and Teddy A’s marriage. Online speculation has suggested that on-screen roles may have sparked tension between the couple, though neither Arukwe nor BamBam has confirmed such claims.
BamBam has remained largely silent on the matter, sharing only a brief video on social media. Teddy A had earlier dismissed domestic violence allegations circulating online, describing them as false.
Observers have also noted that the couple reportedly unfollowed each other on social media, further fueling speculation about the state of their relationship.
