Troops of Sector 1 under Operation HADIN KAI, working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have neutralised four suspected Boko Haram terrorists during an offensive in Shehuri, Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation took place around 9:15 a.m. on February 25 as part of Operation Desert Sanity IV, a sustained campaign targeting insurgent strongholds in the North-East. The troops reportedly intercepted and engaged the suspects, resulting in a gun battle.
Following the engagement, four insurgents were confirmed neutralised, according to the sources. Recovered items included an AKSM automatic rifle, a pump-action rifle, cartridges, and loaded magazines.
The sources added that troops remain highly motivated and operationally effective, with clearance and dominance patrols ongoing across parts of the state to further weaken the fighting capability of insurgent groups.
