Niger Delta activist and Chairman, Tantita Securtiy Services Nigeria Limited, Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, has publicly endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, citing his numerous achievements within two years in office.
Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo), in an open letter marking Tinubu’s 73rd birthday, praised the President’s leadership, resilience, and dedication to national development, describing him as a special breed of breeder of leader.
Ekpemupolo, a well-known figure in the Niger Delta and a key player in the fight against crude oil theft, described Tinubu as a unique leader who has consistently defied the odds.
“Over the decades, you dedicated your time and resources to building bridges of friendship just as you tirelessly laid foundations. In all these, you made personal sacrifices and endured challenges that would have discouraged men of feeble minds.
“You have demonstrated unwavering commitment to building a just and equitable society, making personal sacrifices and overcoming significant challenges in your political journey.”
The Tantita Security chief highlighted several milestones achieved under Tinubu’s leadership, including economic growth, infrastructural development, and policy reforms. Some of the key accomplishments listed include:
Some of the key accomplishments listed include the doubling of national revenue to over N9.1 trillion, a reduction in debt service expenditure from 97% to 68%, the clearing of $5 billion in outstanding foreign exchange obligations, and boosting crude oil production from 600,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 1.8 million bpd.
Other notable achievements include the revival of the oil and gas sector through initiatives like the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) project, the establishment of the Student Loan Fund and disbursement of N45.6 billion for student payments, unlocking a $700 billion mining fortune in the solid minerals sector, and the removal of fuel subsidies along with the implementation of a unified foreign exchange management system.
Key infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and Sokoto-Badagry Highway, as well as the creation of over 400,000 jobs through Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) programs, were also highlighted.
Ekpemupolo particularly commended Tinubu for signing into law the establishment of the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) in Okerenkoko, Warri South West LGA, Delta State—a development of great significance to the Niger Delta region.

“Our beloved Iyelawei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri, most important to us in the Niger Delta, is the signing of the Bill establishing the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko, Warri South West LGA, Delta State, into law,” he aded.
Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Ekpemupolo assured Tinubu of unwavering support, stating that his leadership must continue beyond his first term. He affirmed that progressive-minded leaders in the Niger Delta and beyond would rally behind the President for another four years.
“As you continue to deploy your God-given talents in human capital development, we pray that Almighty God grants you a long life, strength, and wisdom to steer this nation to greater heights,” Ekpemupolo wrote.
He concluded the letter with a strong endorsement: “2027? We are backing you solidly for your second term. Nothing can change our support, Sir! It’s your turn again.”
The open declaration from Tantita Security Services, which plays a crucial role in combating oil theft and securing Nigeria’s critical energy infrastructure, signals a significant show of confidence in Tinubu’s administration, particularly within the Niger Delta region.
